| they typically don't last real long mileage. Due to the increased bore/cylinder wall clearance they tend to wear out faster which is caused mainly when the engine is cold. For someone looking to keep rwhp under 600 or so the Nissan SB is incredible. The forged motor will be able to handle more abuse of higher hp generated but with the sacrifice of longevity. Its basically a race motor at that point. Its interesting to hear other mechanics/tuners in other car models saying that their lucky if the motor lasts past 30,000 miles. One corvette builder said he was surprised his one customer's motor lasted past 7,000 miles! wow! I think our VG30s are incredibly strong and can probably easily go past 30k when built. Which is hugely dependent on the user. Making sure to run adequate octane for boost/timing. Allowing a forged motor to fully warm up before driving off. throwing in some of my info that has been passed along to me from others in the industry/personal experience
